Shuttle
Service
All
conference programs and catered meals will be held on the campus
of the Binghamton University, State University of New York at Binghamton.
We’ll provide scheduled shuttle service between Binghamton Regency
Hotel and the Conference venues for participants staying at the
hotel.
If
you are arriving by car:
Driving
to the Binghamton University campus in Vestal:
The
Binghamton
University’s Visitors webpage provides very clear driving directions
from many points around the country. There’s also a link to AutoPilot
which will produce a custom set of instructions for driving to Vestal.
Please note: Binghamton University is actually located in Vestal,
about a mile west of the Binghamton city line, even though the city
on our address is Binghamton.
Driving
to the Binghamton Regency Hotel in downtown Binghamton:
The Binghamton
Regency Hotel’s website provides directions from major highways.
Driving
from Binghamton Regency Hotel to Binghamton University campus:
Binghamton
University is about 20 minutes by car from the hotel. From the hotel,
turn right to go along Water Street. Cross 2 traffic lights and continue
on Hawley Street. Bearing Right, follow the curve of the road. On
the second traffic light -- two traffic lights are very close together,
-- turn Right onto Route 434 West. Continue on Route 434 for about
6 miles until the 6th traffic light. You'll see the Binghamton
University sign. Turn LEFT at the traffic light onto campus.
Go
up the Main Drive, bear right at the Traffic Circle and continue uphill
in a counter-clockwise circular route. If you have a Visitor Parking
Permit, look for signs for Lot M on your right. If not, look
for the Visitors Paid Lot near the Main Library further up
also on your right.
If
you are arriving by bus:
The Greyhound
and Shortline buses provide
staggered services to Binghamton from New York City, Buffalo, Ithaca,
and various parts of the country. Both bus terminals are in downtown
Binghamton, which is about 6 miles to campus, and within walking distance
to the Binghamton Regency Hotel. Cabs usually meet the incoming buses
except very late at night.
If
you are arriving by plane:
You’ll
most likely be flying into the Binghamton
Regional Airport. We recommend taking one of the shuttle van/taxi
services from the airport. A-1 Airport Shuttle has a booth at the
airport. Just go up to the counter and ask for a car. You can also
reserve in advance by calling (607) 729-0318. The cost for going to
the hotel or campus is between $15 and $20. The travel time from the
Binghamton Airport to campus or the hotel is about 20 minutes.
The
other option is to rent a car. Avis,
Hertz, and National have booths at the airport. From the Broome
County Airport, exit the main drive onto Airport Road. Go eight miles
SOUTH to Rte. 17 West. Travel west on 17 to Exit 70 SOUTH Route 201.
Follow Route 201 and the SUNY signs to the traffic circle. Take first
right off circle, crossing bridge to Route 434 EAST. The main entrance
to campus is your first Right.
